As member of Hôtels et Chalets de Tradition, French Alps boutique hotels group, we have the pleasure to introduce you our two hiking programs starting from Le Dahu Hotel. This hiking in Haute-Savoie, will lead you to Chatel by La Chapelle d'Abondance. The other one will lead you at first to Samoëns, then to Les Gets.
Our wish is to offer you to discover at a time our beautifull mountains and in addition, others villages and lovely Hôtels Chalets de Tradition. All, without any troubles !!

Trans Alps Hiking Grand Massif
Trans Alps Hiking Morzine > Samoëns
Height gain: 280m (1:30)
Height loss: 790 m (1:45)
Average travel time: 4:30
Transferring from Dahu to the Gold Mines (1390m).
Ascent to Freterolle then crossing Circus Chardonniere Vigny to (drinking water) following the GR5.
Ascent to the Golez (1671m).
Refuge below the collar - Drinks, food, drinking water.
Location picnic advised the heart of White Teeth.
Descend to the foot of the Allamands Cret (889m).
Transfer of the Cret foot Hotel Neige et Roc.
Trans Alps Hiking Samoëns > Les Gets
Height gain: 400m (1:30)
Height loss: 400m (2:30)
Average travel time: 5:30
Transfer from Snow and Rock to the locality of the Chaumette located on the town of Verchaix (1200m).
Pre uphill towards the furnace, junction to Verny, crossing the plateau Loex then arrived at the Chapel of Jacquicourt (1600m).
Location picnic advised facing Mont-Blanc valley Giffre.
The Descent to Sincerneret (drinking water), the direct arrival and Putays Les Gets.
Trans Alps Hiking Les Gets > Morzine
Height gain: 200 m
Height loss: 375m approx
Average travel time: 5:30
Check directly from the La Marmotte. Up through the Mont Chery gondola (1550m).
Crossing to the Col de Lachat. (1.632m). Descent along the shoulder to Mont Caly. (1.490m) Drinks, drinking water.
Location picnic advised facing Mont Blanc. Crossing to the Col de L'Encrenaz (1.433m. Snackbar, drinking water. Transferring Coast Arbroz to Dahu.
Trans Alps Hiking Portes du Soleil
Trans Alps Hiking Morzine > La Chapelle d'Abondance
Vertical drop positive: 560 m (2 h30)
Negative altitude difference: 580 m (2:00)
Average travel time: 4 h30
Transfer from the Hotel Le Dahu The hamlet Villaz (1120m) above the Abbey of Saint Jean d'Aulps.
Up through the localities Miallet, The New and Pre Fouyet to cervical Bowl (1534m).
Ascension Point of Folly (1674 m) where the view is emerging on the Abondance valley.
Location picnic recommended in pastures in the Pointe.
Descent by the cabins and the woods Essert Frémoux until the paved road on top of Abundance.
The hotel transfer to Gentianettes Chapelle d'Abondance.
Trans Alps Hiking La Chapelle d'Abondance > Châtel
Height gain: 690 m (3:30)
Height loss: 700m (2:00)
Average travel time: 5:30
Transfer from hotel to Gentianettes The starting point of the trail (1140m).
Climb through the forest to the pass the Serpentine (1832 m). Circumventing the head of the Avalanche to reach Arvouin chalets and lake of the same name. Beautiful lake nestled at the foot of cliffs at the head of Avalanche (1669 m).
Artisanal cheese Abondance at the Visitor Information Arvouin.
Location picnic advised the lake.
Descent through self-Sevan, under the peak and Recon Mouet to reach the top station of the gondola Super Chatel. A path descends to the village.
